Local decision-makers starting to appreciate eco club students’ sincerity

WWF-Mongolia successfully hosted “Steppe beauty”' meeting in October 2019 with eco club students. After the meeting, eco club students addressed a request to Khentii, Dornod and Sukhbaatar province decision makers ensure a successful mongolian gazelle conservation.
Simultaneously, a decision was made to support the eco club students' request at the session of the Citizens’ Representative Meeting of Dadal county of Khentii province in eastern Mongolia.This will focus on promoting gazelle conservation activities, verifying households with guns and dogs, and reducing illegal hunting through contracting and co-operation in order to combat poaching. Additionally, local decision makers will support annual mongolian gazelle day celebration and organize annual eco clubs meeting with local community representatives.
Dadal county Governor B.Oyunbaatar said, “It is important for each citizen to understand the value and importance of mongolian gazelle in connection with the recent migration of gazelles in our county. Especially, I agree that it's time to pay our attention on illegal hunting. I am pleased to see that eco club students initiate mongolian gazelle conservation. We will support their activities. "
Since the decision-makers have decided to support, eco club students in Dadal county are planning to implement a gazelle conservation plan. 
Additionally, local decision makers will support annual mongolian gazelle day celebration and organize annual eco clubs meeting with local community representatives.
