The campaign “Tree Retains Water-Water Retains Life” has enabled the parties to jointly do many constructive works and the local communities to actively engage in the campaign activities. For instance, to date, there are about 10 per cent of the total households residing in the centres of 14 sub-provinces of three eastern provinces have planted trees in their khashaa (a plot of privately owned land of households). Local communities of Dadal sub-province of Khentii province have had a 10 ha of planted pine forest stand between 2017 and 2022. All these successes and achievements were a spotlight of the photo exhibition. FUGs in the River basin prepare pine and larch seed funds and seedlings for planting and forestation within their areas. Another spotlight of the photo exhibition was to inform that there was non-occurrence of forest steppe fire that was previously often caused by illegal human activities in the forested areas. Local communities were in favour of organizing such an exhibition annually regarded it as an effective way of showcasing the achievements under the campaign in the future.
