Head of the local cooperatives have equipped with marketing and product development skills and knowledge

Lack of knowledge related to product development, marketing, and sales is one of the major problems faced by agricultural cooperatives operating in remote rural Mongolia that locates away from the capital city by more than 1000 km. Thus, there are 20 representatives of 11 cooperatives in the Altai Sayan ecoregion have participated in 50 hours of intensive training in marketing and sales, and product development. .

Thus, there are 20 representatives of 11 cooperatives in the Altai Sayan ecoregion have participated in 50 hours of intensive training in marketing and sales, and product development. The intensive training was developed by the Mongolian University of Commerce and the National Union of Agricultural Cooperatives of Mongolia. Altantsetseg.G, the head of “Bayalag Sutai Development” and Livestock Breeders' Cooperative in Dariv Sum, Hovd Province, exclaimed enthusiastically: “Product development is a multi-step process that requires lots of research and adherence and accordance with many standards which we have never heard of before. Even, during the training, I am picturing the next products we will work on as soon as I come back”. 
The intensive training was developed by the Mongolian University of Commerce and National Union of Agricultural Cooperatives of Mongolia.
