Improving public awareness and attitudes is crucial for the effective conservation of critically endangered species. To deepen public connection with the critically endangered Mongolian saiga and foster national pride in this unique species, WWF-Mongolia developed a 3x6 meter awareness board.
Improving public awareness and attitudes is crucial for the effective conservation of critically endangered species. To deepen public connection with the critically endangered Mongolian saiga and foster national pride in this unique species, WWF-Mongolia developed a 3x6 meter awareness board. This board, which reads "The Mongolian saiga – from Ice Age," highlights that species has walked alongside historic species in the grassland steppe and emphasizes the importance of protecting and preserving this rare species.
Also produced a short video to showcase its installation and purpose. The video disseminated via WWF-Mongolia’s official Facebook page features compelling visuals and messaging that evoke a sense of love and responsibility for protecting this iconic animal. Together, these outreach efforts aim to strengthen national appreciation and mobilize greater public support for saiga conservation.
