With funding from the WWF-Mongolia, mini cinemas have been established for eco club students at Buyant soum secondary school in Bayan-Ulgii province and at the hall of a community owned tourist camp in Tolbo soum.  The initiative aims to improve environmental awareness and education among local communities, herders, and children through film, while promoting the importance and conservation value of the snow leopard and other rare wildlife species.  

Organizing film screenings as community events brings people together, creating opportunities for discussion and the exchange of ideas. This serves as an important step toward strengthening local participation in nature conservation. In addition, the project seeks to inform local communities about environmental challenges and climate change through children, while encouraging and inspiring greater public involvement in conservation activities.

The mini cinemas feature easy-to-understand scientific documentaries as well as films highlighting the unique ecosystem of the Altai mountains, providing audiences with engaging and educational viewing experiences.
