WWF Mongolia announces the position of a Marketing & Economy officer based in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia (12 month with possible extension upon satisfactory performance)
Major Functions: Ensures effective implementation of the marketing objectives at snow leopard project for herders and communities on procedures, standards, development, experiences respond to queries on matters relating to snow leopard and its habitat protection.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensures effective implementation of objectives 2 and 4, and other activities in relation to the project as follows:
-Develop and leads the economic analysis and marketing options for existing and potential products by the project beneficiaries.
-Plans marketing survey, event/campaign and ensures its implementation and results.
-Initiates rural market research and converts complex analysis with recommendations for local marketing initiatives.
-Supports business plans development by the project beneficiaries and its implementation by herders, communities and local administration.
-Creates innovative ways to link herders and local communities with the existing and potential businesses.
-Supports project team in day to day marketing activities related to the project activities
- Plan, develop and deliver campaigns as agreed within timescales.
- Prepares, and integrating all publications of market survey on livestock husbandry marketing related publicity to achieve objective.
-Makes contracts with related partners (private & public) and monitor compliance with contractual terms, particularly reporting, providing guidance and ensuring timely receipts.
-Establishes and maintains strategic stakeholders for the implementation of the project.
-Assists with development and implementation of project activities together with wildlife traffic and law enforcement and communication staff.
-Contributes project annual outcomes and conservation plan of snow leopard and its habitat protection, and ASER programme at WWF Mongolia
-Manages effectively the budget related to marketing.
-A higher degree in marketing, economy-related field. Relevant work experience in social marketing field may be substituted for higher academic qualification.
-Technical proficiency in the field of social marketing, public relations field, with professional experience in project/programme planning and implementation.
-Excellent understanding of development partnerships, fundraising, donor strategies, functions and international relations.
-Familiar with conservation and natural resource management issues in Mongolia is an advantage.
-Excellent oral and written communications skills in English.
-At least 6 years professional experience in programme and project management including marketing and communication.

-Strong leadership and team building skills.
-Excellent oral and written communications skills in Mongolian and English.
